The participants were given an overview of data analytics and learnt how to handle visual analytics tools and how to import and export data. They carried out exploratory data analyses, processed and transformed data and effectively documented and organised their workflows. <br/><br/>The second module focussed on visual analysis and reporting using BI tools. The participants acquired knowledge in the fundamentals of visual analysis and reporting, imported, combined and formatted data, created graphs and views, filtered data and performed calculations. They were also given an introduction to exporting data, setting up dashboards and telling data stories. <br/><br/>Designed for advanced students, the third module saw the participants working with databases and familiarising themselves with the basics of machine learning. They studied workflow control structures, interfaces and embeddings as well as optimising workflows.<br/><br/>The fourth module addressed itself to evaluating, planning and implementing data projects. The participants evaluated data projects, planned and organised them, and formulated and visualised the projects.<br/><br/>In the fifth and final module the participants put what they had learnt into practice by working on a use case taken from actual business practice.
